This place is amazing, you get out of it what you put into it. The fact that you will have an entire team looking out for you and all of the counselors that teach are just amazing. Some things can slip through the cracks, however windward way is truly an amazing organization. I could not have gotten sober if it were not for my team, the ladies I was with.

I am gearing to leave windward on 4/19/2024.Hands down the care I have received on every level has been next to none.Walking through the doors here felt like walking through the doors that lead me home.I was given the tools I will need to progress through life successfully as a former addict and that sounds like heaven to me.

I am so grateful for this experience. While I didn’t completely find my whole soul there, I found enough of the lost pieces and I found a sense of unity that I had lacked for much of my life. The program is based upon spiritual principles. The staff there are generally recovered addicts themselves. The programming in and of itself is meant to not only stabilize you in detoxing and recovery from drugs and alcohol, but it’s also designed to get you on your feet in the world and society again. They also recommended and transferred me to a beautiful program that was exactly what I needed. Much thanks to this program and everyone who opened their heart to me. Very much would recommend to a fellow addict in need of finding their way

I came into Windward Way with hopes of understanding my addiction and myself. I had never been to treatment before and was very timid but willing to embrace the process. Since being here my eyes have been opened to just how much my addiction was taking over my life and those around me. I completed an I.O.P(intensive outpatient program) here. A major highlight was where I stayed in the Ellis location(located in the beautiful Huntington area) which are cute fully furnished apartments with roommates a short walk away from shopping centers(Target, Walmart), local meetings and the beach. Everything you need for a nice stay. The area is beautiful like safe during all times of the day. My house managers(a/o Rodrigo) were super friendly and helpful. I felt at home. They took me under their wing. In person meetings will be important because you need to establish some community and find a sponsor so this is the best location.Another major highlight is the case managers, care coordinators and therapists. Mine were beyond helpful(Monica, Gary and Maya). They give you the tools and instruction you need to get reacquainted and rebuild your life outside treatment. So don’t be afraid to inquire about anything. If you have ANY problem go to them. They have connections and offer great resources. Also the drivers were super friendly and courteous(Hector) and were encouraging and gave me hope. Most of the staff has their own recovery experience so they know what you’re going through. They can show you the way to a successful recovery if you let them. Also they will accommodate travel to places that you need to go.The programming varies depending on the facilitator. The whole 45 days I was there I had just one facilitator(Adrian) that really held an amazing group session towards the end of my stay. Keep in mind I only did 3 hours a day not the full day.A big complaint was the front office staff. They are not friendly so it can be intimidating which is problematic if you’re not aggressive. We come there because we are kinda broken so that doesn’t help. They don’t seem to want to be there or care about their clients. They’d rather joke around with each other. In my case they mocked me loud enough for me to hear and never addressed me or said hi when I walked into the room after a brutal initial interrogation(i had never met them before)with no friendly gestures, tones or smiles. Not one of them ever said hi or smiled at me during my stay. Also no on-site Wi-Fi which can be an issue if you need to connect to people for important issues like SNAP, disability etc. The neighbors were quite nice though.I want to give it 5 stars but that front office staff is a major problem.

As far as Zinnia goes, they do not tell you the whole truth. I was told I would be able to contact my wife and kids every day from a facility phone. That did not happen. I was told there was gym at the house I was staying at. That was false. I was told I would get my phone back l, after I was reviewed by my case manager. That did not happen. I did not get my get my phone back until I went to PHP. Zinnia needs to be more honest with the clients on what to expect when you get here. The staff at Windward was awesome though. As far as the people that are with the clients day In and day out, they are spectacular. Very supportive staff. Drew is an amazing guy, he has done nothing but consistently go above and beyond for me. Joseph kept everything real with me and I cannot express how much he helped me with while I was here. Tyler at Main is awesome. VINNY. God I love Vinny, he always knew what to say to make me feel better and I had the best conversations with him. CHAD who is Vinny's brother is so amazing, he has taught me meditation techniques that I will use on a regular basis. Ms. Evette is hands down one of my favorite, I got so much from her groups and she has always made sure I stay on task and am getting the most out of our time together. And last but certainly not least, Otis. He is my absolute favorite staff member here. He is an inspiration to me and I had taught me so much about myself and how to be a better man for my family, while at the same time making sure I focus on myself. I love every single one of the clients here, I have made so many lifelong friendships that I never expected when I went into treatment. Thank you Windward way.

When checking into windward way I didn't know what to expect, Andrea and Leah where my CC and therapist, being able to go to these two were very helpful in the experience. The information that has been provided in groups helped a lot Chad, Adrian and Otis have a lot of good and helpful information. I've been to treatment before and the groups were repetitive. At Windward Way the facilitators had a way of getting everybody in the group to talk about treatment and meet the clients needs. I would highly recommend Windward Way to anybody struggling with addiction.

I was able to learn so much through their program and it gave me confidence in my ability to stay sober on the next steps I take in life.The staff is really where this program shines. Windward Way is an amazing facility. I have been to treatment before and it barely scratched the surface. The information in groups, the support from staff, and having a therapist assigned for each client makes for a much better recovery. They encourage getting a sponsor from the first week and start working the 12-step program and you quickly see how important continuing to work the program afterwards is. My team Shaun, Saul, and Leah were all amazing and always willing to help if I needed it.

They have literally saved my life and have shown me a new way of living...The program is amazing, the staff is excellent.. really empathetic, and very understanding of my addictions and my mental health... they have the best treatment teams out of the several treatment centers I've been to this one is the best... and I truly believe will be my last... This has been such a life-changing experience. Their programming has a great balance between groups, structured outings and free-time to work on individualized needs. The behavioral techs, therapists, group counselors, care coordinators, case managers and support staff are all supportive and flexible to individual needs and circumstances. The step-down structure allows you to move through detox, residential and outpatient treatment at your own pace, and they help you get setup with aftercare as well. I don’t have a single complaint about this treatment center. So grateful I came here!

This place has been so awesome to me. Andria my care coordinator has been so helpful, and so caring. She works hard and does awesome at her job. I'm very grateful! And Stephanie my counselor goes above and beyond and she's helped me in tremendous ways. I love my self and I never have before. Sean, my case manager is also amazing at his job. This place has changed me for the better. And I cannot thank this place enough! Thank you windward way!Update: I still feel this way and will be forever grateful for all the help from Andria, Sean and Stephanie. I am leaving next Friday and I will have been here 60 days and I can't thank windward way enough. My heart is truly happy! The group facilitators are all so pure. And you will never feel alone here! I came here after a love hate relationship with drugs, I had a mild heart attack and this place reshaped me into who I’ve always dreamed of being.Coming here set me free, free from drugs and my mind, as long as you come to treatment for treatment you’ll really get what you need out of the program & everything that they offer. Hardest part is detoxing, but if you put your mind to it you can get through it.I remember my heart attack had me begging god for one more chance and if he’d let me live I’d live to tell every addict it’s not worth it, and here I am today, spiritually connected again, 0 desire to use.. I learned how to love myself again, I’m helping other addicts.This program is glorious. You will be recovered here.

I had been to other treatment centers and I thought they were good until I came to Windward. These people understand addiction better than anyone else and they do their best to make sure you're ready before you leave. I signed up for 30 days and it's the first time I volunteered to stay longer because of the progress I had made. Andria and Lesli were amazing, they helped me make decisions based on my best interest and pushed me to be better! The entire staff played a part in me achieving sobriety and I appreciate them all.

Would definitely recommend windward way to anyone looking for treatment from detox to residential and into php and iop it’s a great experience if you pay attention and do what’s recommended there’s no doubt that you’ll succeed in your recovery there’s a few things I’d personally change such as phone time but overall a great place to start your path to long term sobriety

February 26th, 2022 - I want to thank Windward Way for putting me on a path to recovery that will shortly be 2 Years. Many people played a part at Windward in beginning my sober journey, the most important of which was my Case Manager Andria, who I affectionately call my "Queen." She assessed me, guided me, walked me through the beginning of my step work until I quickly got a temporary Sponsor, who is my Sponsor to this day. I cannot even begin to thank her enough, all the gratitude I have that my Higher Power put her in my life, where she will be forever, until our time comes to an end. This place is changing my life completely. I got a completely entire care team to support my mental health , financial support and also help with my legal situations. I would recommend this program to anyone struggling with addiction. I’m m truly thankful for windward recovery ♥️ Today I have 67 days in recovery. I have so much knowledge on A.A recovery and I’m going to gain so much more. I’m doing a 90 day program. Windward way recovery has given me so much strength to deal with my mental health , my financial situations and very important to work through my legal responsibilities. They are prepping for a new way of living. The person I am today is absolutely transforming my entire life. I’ve been given so much direction in the understanding of the Alcohol Anonymous, it’s absolutely change my way of thinking. I’m working close with a sponsor that I met in my program. This was my first treatment center, did 30 days and I feel like this place saved my life. Truly an amazing place with amazing people. Everyone from the in-house staff to the doctors, case managers, and therapists goal is to see you succeed. I never felt judged.I met people who have had a huge impact on my life. I’ve made lifelong connections and friends. My case manager Monica still reaches out to me to this day(I was in treatment over a year ago)! This was my first time in treatment. I can honestly say from intake to discharge Windward has given me a plethora of tools and education. I was in for 30 days but ended up extending to 45 days because once I was entrenched in the program I realized how much I needed it. The case managers all have extensive life experience with substance abuse and they are very empathetic to their clients. Jake was my case manager and it was a great experience having him as one. This place is a great place to take a step back from all of life’s stressors and it gives you the opportunity to open your ears and heart to a new way of living.

Overall great experience. Trusted staff with helping me navigate the right treatment path for me. After having some bad experiences over the last few months with treatments centers that were not client care focused.I was finally able to get on the right path to continue my goal of long lasting recovery one day at a time. I was in for 30 days, and I can honestly say that I am excited, and a little anxious about returning home tomorrow. The staff was very helpful from the start. I feel like I have the tools necessary to keep my alcoholism in check. I came in with an open mind and used that to the best of my ability. I do have a wonderful support group at home with plenty of resources in my area. I just need to keep up with my meetings and going to church and I will be okay. 👍 I give all of the credit to my God in Heaven! He opened the door, and gave me the faith and courage to walk through! Every single staff member I have met in this facility has changed my life in monumental ways. I have experienced more growth, love, support, kindness and life skills here than I have gotten from all 9 years of my adult life. My recovery was taken seriously and these people care about their clients. They work around the clock to ensure that we are all comfortable, connected and given the resources and tools we need to succeed. I have made lifelong friends here. I just finished a 90 day treatment program here at WIndward and I cannot say enough good things about the staff and all the people I got to know here. From the very first day, I felt welcomed, supported, and cared for. The therapists, technicians, and administrative staff are genuine and always ready to help in any way they can. They are very knowledgeable and I feel like I finally have the tools I need to successfully move on to a full and successful future. Gerald was always there to attend to the clients and be sure that we felt supported and had what we needed. Monica is another staff member who was absolutely amazing. I learned so much from her and she was always available to lend an ear and give advice and encouragement. I have also made so many friends here with the other clients. I have friendships now that I know will last a lifetime. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone ready to take this important step towards their recovery.

Windward Way thank you so much. My first rehab and was very nervous about this. After calling they had me on a plane in less than 24hrs. When arriving to campus the staff was very nice and respectful. Went to detox and went very well. I spent most of my time there because of health problems getting up and down stairs and they worked with me. To my therapist Monica. You are the best. Very helpfully and gave me great advice. My caseworker Jake F. This guy here was a worker. Great advice and helped out with everything. My after care when I get home and kept in contact with my family. The group facilitators where all amazing. Learned so much from them. And the staff I had interacted with a lot through my stay. O.G Nate, Ross, Lauren, Joesph, Damaris, Gavin, Brian, there where a couple more but not good with names. But you guys was wonderful. Helped me out a lot and kept me focused. And I cannot forget about James. Man you don’t know how much you helped me out. When I was told I was stepping down and you came over to talk me out of leaving and told me I was going to your house I was so relieved. You are the man and think god i ran into you. I leaned on you a lot. My sponsor Shud he name is 1st on the board. Great guy and got me started on my 12 step. I learned so much and appreciate the opportunity I was given. I can agree when they say take the cotton out of your ears and put it into your mouth. If you fail I have to believe that you didn’t care and didn’t buy into what they was trying to teach you. As a patient I didn’t buy into other patients bull. I went in open minded and nothing was going to stand in my way of getting sober and living a wonderful life. My experience here at Windward had been tremendous! This is my 4th time in treatment, and the curriculum and expertise of the counselors, case managers, therapists, and staff are incomparable to my previous facilities; this takes the belt! Windward way has been a program that’s helped me immensely and in huge way. While being in this program they’ve helped me gain mental stability and given me the tools to continuously move forward in my life! Usually in these types of programs theirs a lot of people who are doing the wrong thing or falling into negative habits but that’s not the case here. The staff is top tier and I would recommend this program to anyone struggling with mental health.One of the facilitators who really helped with medication as well as direction and catching my bearings was Andrew Jones. Without him I would not be in the position to continually move forward. Extremely great full for this program!!!
